Oneida County 4-H Leaders Association

The Oneida County 4-H Leaders Association is composed of all parents, project leaders and youth leaders who are currently enrolled in 4-H and volunteers who have completed the volunteer orientation. The organization elects individuals to the offices of President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. the officers work closely with Lynn Feldman, 4-H Youth Development Educator, to provide leadership for the Association. Meetings are held monthly. November is the annual meeting for budget approval and election of officers.

The Leaders Association is responsible for:

  • Overseeing all Oneida County 4-H clubs.
  • Project Discover Day or Fall Fest in October
  • 4-H Awards Banquet in November
  • Holiday Craft Fair in December
  • Animal Alley and 4-H Exhibits at the Oneida County Fair in August

What else does Leaders Association do?

Leaders Association follows the bylaws and state guidelines of 4-H policies, submits an annual 4-H Charter Renewal form, manages the budget, provides insurance coverage for 4-H members and leaders, interviews candidates for trip awards, supports other county events and attends state-sponsored events.

Funding Scholarships

Oneida County 4-H Leaders Association will pay:

  • 25 percent of any 4-H program registration fee for first-year members
  • 50 percent of any 4-H program registration fee for second-year members
  • 75 percent of any 4-H program registration fee for 4-H youth enrolled three years or more

Specific procedures for application deadlines must be researched and followed through the UW-Extension Oneida County office.

For international travel, a 4-H member may be granted a $1,000 award.
