Information for Parents
Joining the Oneida County 4-H Program
Thank you for your interest in the Oneida County 4-H Program. We offer membership as a Cloverbud to youth in grades K-2. For youth in grades 3-13 we offer traditional 4-H membership. Adults can become involved as a volunteer in a club, as a project leader, resource leader, or activity leader.
It is the policy of the Oneida County 4-H Leaders Association that no eligible student, client or participant shall be denied admission to or participation in any of the benefits, programs or courses offered or sponsored by 4-H because of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, ancestry, age, sexual orientation, pregnancy, marital or parental status.
Youth may join a club, or enroll as an independent or by family membership, or take part in special interest programs. Call the 4-H office at 365-2750, or by TTY at Wisconsin TRS at 800-947-3526 to be sent a “Family 4-H Guide” and enrollment packet. We’ll include information on the 4-H clubs in the county. Begin by attending a meeting and see what 4-H is about.
You also can attend the county-wide 4-H Leaders Association meetings held the 3rd Monday of the month at 7:00 p.m. at the UW-Extension Office, lower level of the Rhinelander/Oneida County Airport. The 4-H Leaders Association meetings are open to all members, volunteers and parents and will give you an idea of how 4-H is organized in Oneida County.
